Events 01-Sep-2009 updated!

Update on supplies sent to Kaohsuing, Pingdong and Taidong Counties over the past couple of weeks.
在8/13左右.Karma Relief將之前所募集的善款$325,870,買了募資送到台東,屏東及高雄災區

A massive thank you to all who donated anything and everything to help out with the on-going relief effort in the south.
We spent NT$325,870 on pretty much the following:

Water
Milk Powder
Sleeping Bags
Brooms/Brushes
Gloves/ Cleaning Gear
Flip Flops
Toilet Paper/Tissues
Diapers/Nappies
Sanitary Towels
Biscuits/Crackers
Salt

We sent through the post office, and through 'Pi-Fa' outfits (wholesale suppliers) who were lending a big hand in distribution to hard-hit areas.

Karma Relief is pretty much 'broke'(hopefully not for long) at present, and our planned trip this weekend to Ah-Li Shan has been cancelled for obvious reasons - I'm sure there's no need to go into any detail.

Next KR event coming up in late October - and of course all proceeds will be headed south to those in need. We'll keep you posted. Apologies for the lack of updates on the KR site. Some problems there - hopefully we'll get them ironed out over the next week or two.
